We are Ready to Burn certified, meaning we have passed strict tests to ensure we produce great quality, guaranteed <20% moisture logs.
All our logs are regularly moisture content checked to ensure minimum moisture content. Our logs are a sustainable, environmentally friendly and renewable energy source. We use only varieties that burn well and have a high calorific output, meaning they burn hotter for longer, including Ash, Beech, Oak, Silver Birch and Sycamore.
We don't import logs from abroad, everything is felled on the Tanfield Estate.
Quality is key and cheap imports are not what we're about. We care about the sustainability of our woodlands and the environmental impact of forestry and farming. On the estate we invest heavily in bio diversity and environmental policies.
From the management plan to the final selective harvest, every step is transparent and eco-conscious. Once felled and processed the timber is solar kiln dried, guaranteeing a hot and long lasting burn.

Bulk Bags
This is the most economical way to buy logs from us. Our vented bulk bags measure 0.85 x 0.85 x 0.85cm. The bags are breathable allowing you to store them in your outbuilding without stacking.

Barrow Bags
Barrow Bag with lid, it holds approximately 60% of the bulk bag's volume. Barrow bags are about the size of a domestic wheelie bin. Our barrow bags are perfect if you don’t have a lot of space or aren’t able to store bulk bags. They are the perfect size for narrow access.

Kindling & Auxillary items
A very generously sized net of kindling. Ideal to get your fire started, also perfect for a pizza oven.

What is your delivery area
We are a small team so we are only able to deliver locally at present. We offer free delivery up to a 10 mile radius of West Tanfield.
